Triple P Cafe: Travelling in the Car - Cornwall

16 Sep 2020 1:00 pm -2:00 pm

Family trips in the car can be fun and enjoyable.  They can also be quickly spoiled for everybody when children whine, complain, refuse to wear their seatbelt, fight or tease each other.  Some children can manage short trips around town, but become difficult on longer journeys.  Others are difficult every time they get into the car.    Misbehaviour in the car is stressful for parents and can be dangerous if the driver is distracted.

This Triple P Café will give some suggestions to help participants teach preschoolers how to behave responsibility in the car.

Triple P Cafe: Chores - Cornwall

14 Oct 2020 1:00 pm -2:00 pm

Responsibility for regular chores help children learn self-discipline, how to apply themselves to a job and how to help with the running of a household.  If you give your child chores, you will find that you have more time to spend with your child on other activities and more time for yourself.

This Triple P Café will give participants some suggestions to help establish a job roster and to teach children to take responsibility for some household chores.

Triple P Cafe: Lying - Cornwall

25 Nov 2020 1:00 pm -2:00 pm

When children often tell lies, it can be difficult for parents to trust them.  Parents may find it hard to believe their children even when they are telling the truth.   Telling lies can also cause problems with friends and other family members.   Children need to learn that no matter what they have done, they must tell the truth.   It is best to deal with lying as soon as it starts.

This Triple P Café will give parents/caregivers tips and suggestions on how to teach children to tell the truth.
